Objectives
The Delaunay Magazine project was a freelance endeavor that involved the use of technologies such as Laravel, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is a personal blog for Thomas Delaunay, CEO of Delaunay Productions. The main objective of the site is to enable him to publish and showcase various articles.
Tasks
Creation of a newspaper-style website, a dashboard for full site management (adding, modifying, deleting articles, categories, images, etc.), and the development of a 404 page and a contact page.
Like in a Newspaper
The concept is simple, I wanted to convey the spirit of a newspaper, especially in the design and layout of this site, with a striking font and a light background with some texture.
A Well-Gridded Design
I decided to maintain a very angular look with a custom grid for articles indexed by categories, as well as for the article page itself.
The Daily Prophet
Even though users aren't supposed to land on this page, I had some fun developing it, drawing inspiration from the Daily Prophet in Harry Potter.
A Dive into Darkness
I implemented a dark theme for fun; it wasn't a crucial feature, but I thought it would be cool to include it. A dark theme is always a nice touch!
